Learning platform UX audit

A design audit and brief that guided the move from Canvas to a Moodle-based learning platform.

Figma Moodle

This project was delivered for a confidential client. Names, data and identifying screens have been removed or recreated.

The context

The institution was replacing Canvas with its own Moodle-based learning hub. Designs existed in Figma, and development was underway.

The problem

The built screens had started to drift from the designs. Some student-facing features from the old platform had no clear equivalent in the new one, and the build team was working from scattered feedback.

What I did

  1. 1

Ran a Figma-to-code audit, comparing each designed screen with what had actually shipped.

  2. 2

Completed a gap analysis across every student-facing feature, old platform against new.

  3. 3

Pulled both into one consolidated design brief, giving the build team a single, prioritised source of truth.
